After decades of ignoring a glaring preparedness deficit in Kashmir, India is left with limited options as it seeks to strike back after the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. But now we find that India has not one but two well-prepared and better-armed adversaries at its doorstep. It’s not about India and Pakistan anymore. Because orchestrating Pak’s actions in the wings is China, the regional hegemon determined to hobble and destabilize India. In Pak, China has found a loyal and needy client because their goals are essentially the same.
